Am I not supposed to sit quietly in a cubicle and analyze research data? The things you do for your boss!  It started with

…. Then I became a chipmunk and ended up kicking off disco night at last weekend’s out-of-town faculty meeting. At least it happened after the serious stuff was done and put away.  I don’t remember the Stats, the speeches. I only remember that mix of embarrassment and glee of realizing I was singing karaoke and watching everyone hit the dance floor.

Anticipation. That’s the name of the game I am playing right now, and I’m rather enjoying it. Not knowing what will exactly happen in seventy-two hours just adds to the suspense. You see a friend I haven’t seen, nor had any contact with in twenty-six years is flying in from the Emirates to visit. Then we go to India, hello Taj Mahal, and see if we’re going to be inspired to put Paris next on the list. It’s been eight months of catching up. I have a feeling
