Carnation and tea
snug by antebellum porch
spinning dreams is free
It’s a dreary day in the office. Read: marking finals that never seem to end. A vase of red pink carnations is the only cheer in a sea of academic bits and pieces. I made it til sign out time by imagining tea served on the porch of an antebellum mansion.

Wishing you sunshine and lemonade this weekend !
Brilliant way to make the day tolerable! Your haiku makes me daydream of tranquility, too!
Great dreams.
Thank goodness we don’t have to pay for dreams—until they turn into nightmares and we need a therapist to find our way through them! 🙂

Lovely!
I learned what ‘antebellum architecture’ is through your haiku (I didn’t understand first, so I looked it up…) I love when blogposts do that and now I start my day with new knowledge. Hope your weekend is relaxed and nice!
Nice to rest and relax with that refreshing cup of tea!! That architecture looks a great place to decorate!! Beautiful!!
beautiful haiku… it is good to pause and dream of beauty and relaxation in the midst of a busy work day.
Beautiful! Hope you’d find time to visit my Pink Gumamela.
