Ruby tint

come, spring, come!
Let me guess: chrysanthemums? If not, feel free to correct or specify which kind if indeed these are chrysanthemums. Thank you.

i believe these are mums although i have only seen the all-white mums.

Oh yes, I read mums is the ‘nickname’ of chrysanthemums.
Lovely! I don’t think I’ve ever seen them in this colour before.
They’re beautiful whatever the name. Love the delicate tint!
Those are definitely from the chrysanthemums family – although in our country (The Netherlands) these flowers definitely are ‘Fall flowers’…
It’s nice to know that, Marit. Thank you. In the country where I live these flowers seem to be around all year. The reference to spring in my haiku is for bloggity friends who are longing for the season to come soon.
Pretty ! I am echoing your wish for spring!
Lovely picture!!
Now we can enjoy more and more colour combinations when purchasing chrysanthemums(mums) for our garden and as potted plants!
I like the ruby tint in the photo. Your words echo the feelings of many of us from the Northern hemisphere that cry this mantra this time of year. Ready or not, Spring will come, eventually.
Peace
Lovely photo and haiku. Patiently waiting for spring here too.
Not long to go. Nice one.
That longing sings in my heart too!
soon, soon, Hazel… I am seeing the beginnings here despite snow on the ground and more expected this weekend.
I do believe they are mums…but if they are not they are definitely flowers…:D
thank you for cheering on Spring♥♥
I join you in your song of longing!

hazel i love your haiku salutation to spring! i am sure this song rings true in the hearts of so many of us.
well, I tried, and there are just too many (dozens and dozens) to stay with searching for just the right name. a delightful taste of spring, which in Indiana won’t be here for weeks and weeks (no matter what the calendar reads).
